Question

On a completely side note...I am really tired of the fact that a simple platform bed costs more than almost any other type I could want. I would like to someday get a proper bed and then put this under it due to my obsession with lights.

So explain why it costs more for a bed frame that sits 6 inches off the floor than one that is 2 feet high?

Beer budget here people....and most of that has to be spent on whiskey and scotch.....

because platform beds are hip and trendy.

you could always make one yourself? or check out IKEA - not super cheap, but better than something from italydesign.com or somesuch place.

so you send me a link for beds that are even more expensive than the normal ones i like. first one i click on is only 12500. that's not much.

and never find anything exactly like i want at ikea. they used to have a bed called kodal that was pretty badass, but they took it out of their stock and no one has one to purchase.

whoa, this was a long time ago, before the dawn of time or at least before the wedding, which is almost the same thing. sorry for a not timely response, but here it is in all it's mediocracy.

i just wanted to put things in perspective for you? actually, our friend katsup just bought a bed from IKEA, and honestly, it looked a little cheap - like maybe they didnt do a great job with the veneer. i say make one. do it with plywood or MDF or something. HGTV will probably show you how to do it not the way you want to, but you could take thier ideas and improve upon them.
